Research Study – Call for Participants

Jessica Lowy, a doctoral candidate in College Student Affairs Administration at the University of Georgia, is conducting a qualitative research study of bisexual/non-monosexual/sexually fluid women’s college experiences. The purpose of the study is to explore the factors that impact their on-campus experiences, which may in turn contribute to the creation and maintenance of welcoming and supportive environments. Individuals may participate if they:

Are 18 years of age or older,
Attend a college in the US as an undergraduate or graduate student or have attended within the past 3 years,
Identify as a woman (cis or trans) or genderqueer, and
Identify as bisexual, pansexual, fluid, or as another nonmonosexual identity and/or are sexually active with and/or attracted to people of more than one gender

Individuals who qualify and are interested will participate in two audio-taped interviews that may range in length from 30-60 minutes each, as well as a brief reflection exercise. Participants will receive a $10 gift card at each interview, for a total possible incentive of $20. All data obtained will remain confidential.

Students or recent alumni interested in participating should contact Jessica Lowy at jlowy@uga.edu or (678)520-2557.
